Our commitment to developing and investing in renewable resources is evident. We’re already the market leaders in both onshore and offshore wind energy development and operation, and small-scale hydroelectric development in the UK. And we’re taking part in investigations with our colleagues in RWE Power, into clean coal technologies and ways to capture and store carbon emissions from fossil-fired generating plants.
Our portfolio includes 17 on-shore wind farms, the UK’s first off-shore wind farm, and 15 hydro-electric power stations. Together they have the capacity to power well over half a million homes with ‘clean’ energy, putting other energy companies’ efforts to shame.
We’re also giving our customers the opportunity to choose a renewable energy supply for their home or business through Juice, our pioneering clean electricity product.
